Panggilan pulau

Do you know the main reason why I wanna go to KK?? It's the islands babe. Enough said.

So the third day, off we went to Pulau manukan and Pulau Mamutik. It costed us 50rm each for the boat ride and snorkeling set. El cheapo.

It was soo beautiful indeed.

Yes, we were quite disappointed with the fact that Mt Kinabalu gave us just a 'normal' bluish greenish scenery. Nothing was spectacular.

So we just took pictures here and there, and drove back through the winding long road.


BUTTTTTT..about 2km down, i looked over my shoulders and OH MY GOD IT WAS SOOO BEAUTIFUL SO MAJESTIC AND I WAS SPEECHLESS!

The wind had blown the cloud and what appeared was the most significant picteresque scenery I had ever seen.

"Babe, the mountain!!Turn back!Turn back. Let's go up AGAIN!!"
"What? Oh the mountain? I knew it!"

However we didn't turn back because the road was so bumpy and winding. And about 3minutes after that the cloud covered the mountain again and it got mysteriously misty. I guess semangat gunung marah sebab kitorg ckp dia tak cantik and She decided to flaunt us with its beauty.

So no pictures of me with the majestic MtKinabalu..Sob!Sob!



The night then we had seafood. Sedap? Look enticing YEs, but I dont quite like the taste. I mean kicap semua you have to prepare it yourself and I wasn't good with that.Neither he.

But the moment we had at Mt Kinabalu still lingered through out the night.

Didnt i tell you that I went to Kota Kinabalu during the semester break?

Yay..yay..yay..

Our Air Asia flight landed at KK around 12 on 25thApril 2009. The 2 1/2hours flight really made hungry that I really could eat a cow. But had to bear it becoz me and MrA didnt manage to get side by side seat and i didnt want to eat alone. Mengada ness.

After checked in, we went to KK Waterfront and well, monkeying around.




I stayed at Promenade Hotel btw. I found out that gov servant could actually get some discounts for hotel rate, but owh fork! Not for walk-in.

On the first day, we also couldnt get a car to rent. I thought i've planned the trip so well but dammit. The thought of out-of-car-to-rent never crossed my brain. I feel that small part of my head was shrinking.errr.

So really all the day out we spent walking around the town till my feet got sore.

The sun shone better the next day indicating the good sign. Early in the morning, the car rental dude sent us the car. rm80 for auto geared Kelisa.
So we headed to the famous Sunday Market at the Gaya Street.


Memang lah bukan saya jika tidak vain di mana sahaja.


Window shopping at Sunday Market for almost 3 hours, and at noon, we went to Kinabalu Park. Untuk pendakian ke puncak.

The journey was about 2hours. The blue green scenery, misty and cloudy of the mountains defeated the bumpiness of our small car.

I saw the signage "Jambatan Tamparuli" so I was like "Stop!Stop!"

Upon arriving K.Kinabalu Park, me and Mr A were not soo excited. It wasn't as beautiful as we imagined. It looked 'normal'. So we just took pics here and there. Frust lah. My great expectation of Mt Kinabalu the highest mountain in Asia (am I right?) crashed into pieces.

Sojourn in Langkawi

Okay, rombongan Cik Kiah hari ini ialah LANGKAWI.

I went to Langkawi end of JUly last year. My friends and I attended Sheri's wedding in Kangar, and since I've never stepped into that island before,so the two of us decided to give a go.

We took the ferry at Kuala Perlis Jetty and parked the car there.RM10 per day.That was my first time in a small ferry and yeah, I was seasick. We couldnt go to the deck but since I couldnt bear it anymore, I asked one of the staff and he allowed us to go up.

We stayed at Langkawi Boutique Resort, and I managed to get the room only for RM200 (3D2N) bcause MrA's friend worked at a travel agency. It was a nice place, right infront of sangat best Pantai Cenang. But shower head of the toilet had this grueling sound which when the night came, i got quite scared, Nevertheless breakfast spread were quite tasty, a mix variety of locals and western. Hotel tu ramai mat salleh and Pak arab btw.Oh yes, we rented a car (savvy) rm60 perday i guessed.

1st Day
After checked in, we got some rest. I was still dizzy with the island breeze. In the evening, we jumped into Pantai Cenang. The waves were friendly and gentle too.
At night, we had dinner at the restaurant in front of our hotel. Seafood, yes i heart.Sedap and the prices were reasonable.





2nd Day
Oh, didnt i tell u that we bought a package of island hopping before we got into the ferry? We were actually conned. Sampai kat pulau there were thousands of packages and way cheaper!!!Tertipu. We paid 45rm for each whereas it actually rm30. Tp xpelah. The van took us infront of the hotel and went to Rebak MArina. First destination was Tasik Dayang Bunting. Cantiknya. If only I could swim, dh lama i terjun. So we just captured some pixs here and there. Some people said if you drink the water, you will get pregnant (Insyaalah) Might try lepas kawin nati.haha.





Then we went to see eaglefeeding. I was sexcited at first becus i thought we would feed the eagle, terbayang la kt kepala the eagle came to you terkedek2.Tapi actually the boats will stop at this eagle santuary, and the boatmen threw the meat out in the water, so the eagles would fly and catch it. Ada la sedikit drama because you could see they were fighting for the food. Ok la. I kagum.

Last stop was Pulau....Kat cni we stopped for one hour so Mr A pe lagi, went to swim sepuas hati and left me playing dekat air yang takat peha je. Tapi one thing about Langkawi, pasir pantai sgt halus. Mikro mikro mikro halus.and white as well.

Tgahari smpi darat blk. Had lunch and we went to Gunung MAt Cincang. Naik cable car yg sgt terrifying tp syok. After MAt Cincang, we went to Telaga Tujuh, Beras Terbakar..oh, i didnt go to MAkam Mahsuri.;(..due to inappropriate attire.haha.
Then drove around the city..pusing2..shopping cokelats..




Malam we went to DAtaran LAng, camwhoring, enjoying night life in Langkawi.

Then we had late dinner at one of the restaurant along Cenang.

3rd Day

We checked out from hotel around 11am. I havent done a serious shopping yet, so went to Pekan Kuah, bought some things. Nak cari dulang cantik2, tp mahal yg murah mnyorok kt mana xtau.. Around 4 naik feri balik.

I tell you, 3D2N in Langkawi was not enough. Should stay for atleast 4days.

So macam biasa kami jumpa jalan pulang. Arrived KL late at night.
With a smile that lasted for a few days before he made me mad again.

CAMEron here I CAME!!

I'm going to KK in another 3weeks time so in order to make our trip more organized, i try to come out with my own itinerary. Mr A is OK with everything, in fact TOO OK with everything and leave everything to me to do everything!

So, I started my virtual journey and yeay..i found aLOt of info..Bagus!Bagus!

In return, i also think i need to do some community service here. Maybe there are some people who also going to places that I've gone and in need of certain info.

So,here we go. CAMERON HIGHLAND.

I went to Cameron during Chrismas last year. It was a moment of spur when the night before, I was like.."Bosanlah esk xde program..lets's go to Cameron". He said YEs, then off we went.

We drove from KL using North-South Highway and used the Tapah exit. My advice, better you start your journey in the morning because the route after Tapah was a bit scary. It took us about 2 1/2hours.

Sampai, susah giler nk cari hotel because it was all fully booked. But we managed to get rooms (2 SEPARATE ROOMS, mind you!!) Hill GArden Lodge situated in Brinchang. Standard room=RM200..MAk oii...mahal nya.Dhla cikai je. But it's very strategic, just next to the famous Pasar MAlam Brinchang.

After checked in and washing up, we went to have dinner at Steamboat Restaurant nearby. I forgot the name. Set for 2 costs us rm30++. Sgt best I tell you becauz the night air was soooooooo cold, but we neutral it back with the steamboats that we had.



Then, we rushed to Pasar Malam Brinchang. It only available on Sunday night. We at first thought it would close late at night, turned out, sampai pukul 10 je..so I couldnt grab too many things..;(

I wanted to enjoy the night, so we went to Tanah Rata. We opted for foot massage. The auntie was really nice. Again, couldnt remember the shop's name.*sighed* But actually u could see a row of massage parlour at TAnah RAta. And they also have Starbucks there. Sipping coffee in a very chill night is heaven.


Balik bilik, yeah tido.

The next day, early in the morning we had English breakfast at strawberry farm. We had scones, tea. Sagt sedap. I also saw the biggest pumpkin in the world. (ye kot)Remind me of Cinderella.




Then, we went to FRIM. Enjoyed ourselves with breath taking scenery.



I had late lunch at Uncle Chow's kopitiam before heading back to KL. The food there were really nice and the jam for the bread were home made. You could taste the freshness.*drooling*

On the way back, we had fresh hot cofee which only cost RM1 per cup at the terrace of tea plantation. Awesomeness.




Finally macam biasa kami menemui jalan pulang.
